What do we do?

Dorset Software provides systems development capabilities to deliver industry leading technology. Our services are used to deliver software development programmes, maintain and support existing technology and develop new systems. For our consultants this means you'll quickly be working on live projects that will have a genuine impact in the real world.

Our work is varied, spanning industries as diverse as high street retail and aerospace communications. Some recent projects include:

• Developing systems to help customers open bank accounts across Africa
• Working with a multinational engineering technology company to support their development of ‘smart cities’
• Managing the suite of core systems used by the medical industry’s legal body

For our consultants this makes for exceptional job variety. No two projects are the same, ensuring that life never gets boring and your skills are constantly evolving. It also means that you learn not only all about technology, but also all about our clients’ industries.

Working with clients

Our employees work both from our own offices, as well as across the UK, assisting clients at their premises. Willingness to travel is therefore a must.

Assignments vary from a week or two to six months, most commonly being three or six months, and can often be extended again for a further period.

During all onsite assignments our dedicated Logistics team organises everything from high-quality accommodation to parking spaces, and all expenses are covered. Our aim is for our consultants to be able to focus purely on their jobs, without having to worry about the details.
